Education and Resource Center

AFA’s Education and Resource Center offers a variety of programs and services to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, family and professional caregivers and the general public.  Through its Care Connection Series, AFA provides:

  • Integrative Therapeutic Programming which helps encourage socialization and fun, highlighting the importance of meaningful and quality living. Programming has included music, art, dance and pet therapy sessions.
  • Educational Classes which provide the general care community an opportunity to build their skills and remain informed healthcare consumers. Class topics have included learning how to become an advocate for your loved one in a care setting, health literacy, estate planning, reverse mortgages and scam prevention.
  • Wellness Classes which assist care partners in taking care of themselves, and have included topics such as stress management and self-care.

AFA’s Education and Resource Center is located in New York City (322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001).  For more information, please call AFA at 866-232-8484.
